3-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Tarangire elephant country
Travel into Tarangire National Park for game viewing among ancient baobabs, seasonal marshes and the Tarangire River. The park is especially rewarding for elephants, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest and predators that patrol the river corridors. Your guide adjusts the route to wildlife movement and light conditions rather than following a fixed circuit. Overnight near Karatu after a late-afternoon exit from the park.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater floor safari
Descend through the forested crater wall into the Ngorongoro Crater, a compact ecosystem where grassland, woodland and wetlands support a dense concentration of wildlife. Spend the day exploring different habitats, pausing for a picnic lunch before climbing back to the highlands. Return to the highlands for a second night near Karatu.
Day 3: Lake Manyara and Arusha
Explore Lake Manyara National Park from groundwater forest to open floodplain. Look for elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and birdlife around the lake edge while enjoying a varied landscape packed into a relatively small park. Enjoy a final game drive before the short road transfer back to Arusha.
